No. Razorpay charges a nominal fee to customers for using its payment gateway. While setting up the Razorpay payment gateway for your online store, merchants can choose from two different plans.
- 2% transaction fee + GST on every transaction made using Indian consumer credit and debit cards, net banking, UPI, and E-wallets like Freecharge, PayLater, Mobikwik, etc.
- 3% transaction fee + GST on every transaction made using Diners and Amex cards, other international cards, EMI’s (credit, debit, and cardless accounts), and business credit cards.
Sign Up
First things, first. Sign up for a Razorpay Account to get started. Here are the steps:
- Visit our website and click Sign Up.
- Complete and submit the pre-sign-up form.
- You will receive a verification email. Click the link to activate your account.
- To learn more about the sign-up process, refer to our sign-up documentation.
- Sign in to the Dashboard with your credentials.
- By default, you are in the Live mode.
- Switch to Test mode. This is a sandbox mode where you can explore the products. You can use our test cards to simulate and test payments.
- Start accepting payments
- Using our Payment Gateway.
- Using one of our other applications.
- Complete KYC process and document verification.
- Start receiving settlements.
To issue a refund:
- Log into your Razorpay Dashboard, click Transactions → payments.
- Click the payment in the captured state for which you wish to issue a refund.
- Now you can either:
- Enter the full amount to issue a full refund.
- Enter an amount less than the full amount to issue a partial refund.
- Select the Refund Instantly check box to issue an instant refund. Unselect this box to issue a normal refund.
- Click + Add Comments (Optional) to enter text for your reference in the future.
- Click Issue Full Refund/Issue Partial refund.
